Thinking About Feeling? - New Blog Post & Opportunities

FEBRUARY INSPIRATION:

NEW BLOG POST!

Hello Reader,

I hope this message finds you well and inspired!

There’s so much unfolding at Creating Space — but first, I want to share something personal.

For a long time, I lived more in my mind than in my heart.

I could analyze what I felt.
I could explain it.
I could intellectualize it.

But truly feel it?
That took years.

My newest blog post, Thinking About Feeling, is a reflection on that journey — and on a painting I created in 2009 while in graduate school in Denver. I made it for my dad before I fully understood what it meant. Looking back now, I see how clearly it revealed the quiet ways I was protecting myself from my own heart.

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking about your feelings instead of actually letting yourself experience them, this piece may speak to you.

This week:

Mindful Moments Monthly Meditation (3rd Mondays) - Monday, February 16 | 7–8pm (w/ Paula Urcavich)
Open Table: A Support Group for Life (3rd Thursdays) - Thursday, February 19 | 6–7:30pm - How to Break the Habit of Being Yourself (After Skool & Joe Dispenza)

Next week:

Collaboration Lab: Networking Social & Open House

Last week I hosted the first Healing Mic: Poetry for the messy, meaningful work of being human, a new monthly poetry open mic (2nd Wednesdays). Next month (March 11) the featured poet will be the Homemade Author, G. Anthony, who is publishing an anthology with Wisconsin poets called State of Healing.

Launching soon:

Making of an Artist: Artist Stories & Guided Creativity, (One Saturday Monthly) spotlighting local artists sharing their art and life journey along with a hands-on activity. First class April 11 w/ Good Energy Art by Heather Peterman.

• Watch for a new holistic healing series introducing local practitioners and diverse healing modalities — from energy work and body work to releasing emotional baggage and shifting long-held mental patterns.

And we still have a few openings in the Journey from Pain to Purpose Pilot Group beginning March 21, 2026 — a deeply transformative experience born from the work my partners and I have done to heal core wounds and create lasting change. If you are looking for the next level of deeply personal and healing work…. This is it.

Stay connected, inspired, and keep creating space for yourself.

With Love,

Paula

JANUARY INSPIRATION: DIVE INTO THE FIRST BLOG POST! Hello Reader, I hope this message finds you well and inspired. I’ve published my first blog post, “A Community of One.” It’s a reflection on the inner journey of healing and becoming — the quiet work of learning to listen to all the parts of yourself, trust your presence, and begin to connect from within. Think of it as a glimpse into the process of creating space for this community so far, and how my own personal healing has been woven into...
