Warm Greetings Reader,
As summer settles in and the world around us comes alive, I've been feeling a deep sense of gratitude for everything that is unfolding at Creating Space.
At the beginning of this year, a friend encouraged me to create a full calendar of events. What had previously existed as ideas floating around in my mind suddenly became tangible. Classes, retreats, support groups, workshops, and community gatherings began taking shape, and before long, I found myself looking at a year filled with opportunities for connection, healing, and growth.
Past offerings had always emerged organically—inspired bursts of creativity and experimentation that often came together one event at a time. Creating a yearly calendar invited me into a different way of operating: more intentional and structured, both for me and for those looking to engage with this work. What once felt scattered now feels rooted, creating a clearer path for both planning and participation.
What strikes me most is that none of this happened alone.
The growth of Creating Space has been nurtured by countless conversations, collaborations, words of encouragement, and people willing to share their gifts alongside me. Time and again, support has arrived exactly when it was needed, helping transform a vision into something much larger than I could have imagined on my own.
One of the highlights of this year has been continuing to deepen my partnership with FreshStart. After co-hosting several Inner Wisdom Retreats and recently completing our Journey From Pain To Purpose Pilot Group, I'm more convinced than ever that meaningful healing happens in community. This work continues to be some of the most rewarding and purpose-filled work I've ever experienced - both personally and professionally. (Stay tuned for the next Inner Wisdom Retreat and Journey from Pain to Purpose early Fall 2026).
In my newest blog post, Time to Bloom, I share a reflection that feels especially true right now:
"While I thought I was building a business, the business was building me."
Looking back, I can see how every challenge, opportunity, partnership, leap of faith, and even every setback has contributed not only to the growth of Creating Space, but to my own growth as well.
And there is so much more to come.
This August marks four years since purchasing the property at 1231 S. Webster Avenue and beginning this incredible journey. In honor of that milestone—and everything that has helped bring this vision to life—I'm excited to finally host a Grand Opening Celebration on Sunday, August 9, from 11AM–4PM as part of the Live & Listening: Allouez Alleyway Summer Music Series (see link below).
It feels like the perfect time to celebrate everything that has brought us here—and all that is still unfolding.
Below, you'll find my newest blog post along with upcoming opportunities to connect, learn, heal, and grow together. Whether you've been part of this community for years or you're just beginning to explore what Creating Space has to offer, I'm grateful you're here.
With love, excitement, and gratitude,
Paula
